Participants and nature

Tech in Missions connects technology applicants with sponsors. Applicants propose projects, beneficiaries receive agreed services and sponsors contribute funding. The initiative operates commercially under Smartquot e.U.; it is not a charitable money-transfer platform.

Applications and assessment

Submitting a request does not guarantee approval, funding or a start date. An initial contribution of zero is accepted. The team assesses feasibility, scope and budget; execution requires agreed conditions.

Use of contributions

Contributions fund planned services and expenses, including professional work and coordination. The operator administers funds. Direct transfers, exclusive allocation to a project without express agreement and tax deductibility are not promised.

Insufficient funding and changes

If funding is insufficient or scope changes, alternatives and applicable conditions will be communicated. Reallocation of funds committed to a specific project is not presumed authorised. Cancellation and refund rules must be established in the relevant agreement, respecting mandatory rights.

Payments

Stripe supports one-time general contributions and one-time project contributions from individual project pages. Project contributions fund that project's technology services and delivery costs administered by the operator. Review the amount and currency at checkout before confirming. Contact [email protected] to manage a contribution or request a refund; this contact does not replace an electronic withdrawal function where legally required.

Refunds and rights

Refunds and mandatory consumer rights are not categorically excluded. Agreed conditions and applicable law govern. Contract classification, tax information and withdrawal procedures require validation before expanding payments.

Intellectual property and liability

Ownership, licences, maintenance and delivery depend on each project's agreement and third-party licences. The operator does not automatically own all delivered developments. Any liability limitation is subject to legal limits and does not exclude non-waivable rights.

Contributions are received by Smartquot e.U., under the responsibility of Oscar Lee Corradine, to fund development, coordination, professional work, hosting, licences and providers for technology projects. Funds are not automatically transferred to churches or missionaries.

Tech in Missions currently has no recognition as a recipient of tax-deductible donations in Austria and issues no certificates for that purpose. The tax treatment of business sponsorship depends on its circumstances and applicable law.
